Thane has witnessed major boom in the food business in the past 5 years. Big restaurant chains along with many small delivery only restaurants have crowded Thane because of the more than ever rising demand of the people.
People want to discover new food everyday and delivery partners like Swiggy & Zomato are enabling them to order from any part of the city to their home. There is no more a barrier to find restaurants around you for satisfying your hunger but its gone to experiencing and experimenting different restaurants from every corner of this city while sitting at home and at the tap of a few buttons.
Previously the people had to interact with the restaurant and their management to get their food delivered to them. Now socially awkward people who don’t like to talk to people or any person who hates conversing with someone and explaning his address and all his needs for the particular dish can just use the apps. The applications have further enabled people to track their orders live so that they know the precise time their food in going to take to reach home.
Apart from experiencing & experimenting the people in general have also created their own list of restaurants which are their all time favourities. Some people also have cravings for certain foods. There are a few restsurants which provide such addictive foods which I will be discussing at a later stage.
Few restaurants in Thane are well know for their ambience too. Thane, the city of lakes, has many restaurants which are know for their ambience and location but restaurants acing food, ambience and location are scarce.
Residents of Thane had been introduced to the party culture by the launch of 2-3 pubs/lounges 4-5 years back. Earlier the party hungry people would have to travel all the way to Andheri, Bandra, Lower parel or Colaba to fulfill their party needs. After the introduction of these lounges, the residents of not only Thane but Bhiwandi, Dombivali, Kalyan, Mulund, etc. started flocking these pubs and restauranters knew that lounges were the new future of Thane. A wave of lounges hit Thane, creating Thane’s own night-life experience for people.
